Document Controller Job Description

Murphy & Sons Limited is a leading international engineering and construction company seeking a skilled Document Controller to join our award-winning Energy team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing all document control aspects for allocated projects, ensuring that documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain document control systems, ensuring that all documents are properly stored, indexed, and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate and administer document control processes, including quality checking, editing, and formatting documents.
  • Oversee the management of change, ensuring that documents are processed correctly and linked to contract documents as required.
  • Aid in the collation and issue of handover documentation, including O&M manuals, H&S files, as-built records, and datebooks.
  • Ensure that all documents are properly archived and transferred to the JMS CDE prior to contract completion.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a professional Administration and/or Document Control department.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems such as Aconex, ProjectWise, etc.
