About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Police Community Support Officer - Community Liaison Specialist. As a key member of our community policing team, you will play a vital role in building relationships with local communities, identifying and addressing community concerns, and providing support and guidance to vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular community outreach and engagement activities to build trust and rapport with local residents, community groups, and businesses.
  • Identify and address community concerns, providing support and guidance to individuals and groups as needed.
  • Work closely with local partners, including community organizations, schools, and businesses, to develop and implement community safety initiatives.
  • Provide support and guidance to vulnerable individuals, including those experiencing homelessness, domestic abuse, or mental health issues.
  • Collaborate with other police teams and agencies to develop and implement effective community policing strategies.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse communities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address complex community issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Basic knowledge of community safety and policing principles, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Valid UK manual driving license and ability to drive a police vehicle.
