About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Police Community Support Officer. As a key member of our community policing team, you will play a vital role in building relationships with local communities, identifying and addressing local issues, and providing a visible presence on the streets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct highly visible foot patrols to engage with the community and identify potential issues.
  • Provide reassurance and support to victims of crime and anti-social behavior.
  • Build relationships with community leaders, businesses, and residents to foster trust and cooperation.
  • Work with local schools and youth organizations to promote community safety and well-being.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform policing strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to address complex issues and promote community cohesion.
Requirements
  • Be aged 17 at date of application (must be 18 before starting the role).
  • Have lived in the UK for three continuous years immediately prior to application.
  • Have leave to enter or remain in the UK for an indefinite period.
  • Hold a full UK manual driving license (by the time of appointment).
  • Meet the eligibility requirements for the role, including GCSE Maths and English grade A*-C/9-4 or a Level 2 equivalent.

  • 177.6 hours per year annual leave, rising to 214.6 hours per year depending on length of service.
