About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Development Team Manager to lead our brand new development team within a successful telecoms company based in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for integrating your skill set into the company and overseeing the development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and Domain Experts to determine technologies, toolsets, and frameworks for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Take on hands-on development responsibilities as a squad lead, with the expectation of managing multiple cross-functional squads over time.
  • Implement practices and procedures to enable end-to-end Agile product development and a DevOps model.
  • Manage relationships with and delivery from 3rd party consultancies for specialist expertise.
Requirements
  • A proven track record in building and running development and operations teams, ideally cross-functional DevOps teams.
  • Experience in managing delivery teams across 3rd party suppliers.
  • A strong software development background, ideally in Java, Node.JS, or Angular.
  • Experience in Agile product development and Continuous Improvement in a Learning Organisation.
  • Practical experience in developing UX-focused applications.
What We Offer
