About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead our brand new Development Team within a successful telecoms company based in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for integrating your skill set into the company and overseeing the development of our squads.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and Domain Experts to determine technologies, toolsets, and frameworks for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Take on hands-on development responsibilities as a squad lead, with the aim of growing cross-functional squads over time.
  • Implement practices and procedures to enable end-to-end Agile product development and a DevOps model.
  • Manage relationships with and delivery from 3rd party consultancies to augment the team with specialist expertise.
About You

We are looking for a proven track record in building and running development and operations teams, ideally cross-functional DevOps teams. You should have experience of managing delivery teams across 3rd party suppliers, a strong software development background, and experience of Agile product development.

Additionally, you should have practical experience of the application of Continuous Improvement in a Learning Organisation, experience of developing UX-focused applications, and experience of managing relationships with 3rd party consultancies.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £100,000, a bonus scheme, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative company. You will also have the chance to work from home or in our Manchester office.
