About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to join our team at RedRock Resourcing. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and running development and operations teams, with a focus on cross-functional DevOps teams.

Your primary objective will be to work closely with Solution Architects and Domain Experts to determine the technologies, toolsets, and frameworks that will be used across the squads, with the aim of maximizing efficiency and productivity.

You will be expected to be hands-on, taking on some development responsibilities of a squad lead, and as the squads grow, you will become responsible for several cross-functional squads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement practices and procedures to enable end-to-end Agile product development and a DevOps model.
  • Manage relationships with and delivery from 3rd party consultancies that will augment the team with specialist expertise.
  • Lead the development of UX-focused applications.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement opportunities for Continuous Improvement in a Learning Organization.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in building and running development and operations teams, ideally cross-functional DevOps teams.
  • Experience of managing delivery teams across 3rd party suppliers.
  • Strong software development background, ideally Java/Node.JS/Angular.
  • Experience of Agile product development.
  • Practical experience of the application of Continuous Improvement in a Learning Organization.
  • Experience of developing UX-focused applications.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Development Manager who can lead our team to success. If you have a strong software development background, experience of Agile product development, and a proven track record in building and running development and operations teams, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that this is a brand new opportunity, and you will have the chance to make a real impact on our organization.

Salary: £65,000 - £100,000 + Bonus Scheme.

Location: Home-Working / Manchester Office.
