Womenswear Designer - Maternity FTC

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Womenswear Designer to join our team on a 12-month maternity fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality Womenswear Apparel for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present creative research on themes, colours and fabrics based on seasonal briefs.
  • Initiate original design sketches and technical specifications for all styles following the seasonal brief.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team and Head of Design to range build seasonally and assist with daily workload.
  • Keep up-to-date records of all design and development for each style, including fabrication details and print.
  • Deliver development samples within given timelines and ensure their organisation and storage within the office space.
  • Supply content creation for seasonal catalogues.
  • Travel to different locations for meetings with clients, brand owners and collaborators.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Outerwear, Athleisure and Performance design within the fashion, athleisure or outdoor industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to produce excellent, accurate and detailed specifications, both freehand and using design programmes.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to execute timelines and provide timely solutions.
  • Broad interest across various cultural themes, with a passion for fashion, music, sports and the outdoors.
