About the Role:

At Lifelancer, we are at the forefront of transforming laboratory services through an innovative network in collaboration with our healthcare partners. As we enhance our operations, we are transitioning a significant portion of our work to a state-of-the-art laboratory facility. Initially, your responsibilities will be conducted at one of our clinical sites, with a future shift to our main laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of biomedical methodologies, including specialized knowledge in rare techniques and conditions. You will provide mentorship to junior colleagues in these areas.
  • Implement the laboratory information management system in accordance with established protocols.
  • Advise service users on the proper preservation and transportation of samples to the laboratory.
  • Conduct meticulous sample preparation for intricate cases and oversee testing procedures as required.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences or an equivalent qualification.
  • MSc or similar in a pertinent biomedical sciences discipline.
  • Registration with the Health Care Professions Council.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Membership in the Institute of Biomedical Sciences.

Experience:

Essential Experience:

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Relevant experience post-HCPC registration in a specialized area.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
