Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our team at First Recruitment Services. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements, and managing payment runs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Accurately process and code supplier invoices, ensuring timely and efficient payment.
  • Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements, identify and resolve any discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
  • Payment Management: Manage payment runs, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Query Handling: Respond to queries from suppliers and internal departments, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and update the purchase ledger system on Sage, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Finance Support: Provide support to the finance team during month-end processes and reports, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role, with a strong background in Sage.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with a high level of data integrity.
