Position Overview

You will collaborate with our dedicated and dynamic team to deliver optimal clinical services for patients by engaging closely with other healthcare professionals.

We welcome both experienced and newly qualified pharmacists to join our forward-thinking team of Band 6 pharmacists. You will have the chance to rotate through various pharmacy departments and specialties within the organization, acquiring foundational knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering pharmaceutical care both within the pharmacy and on the wards.
  • Assisting the department with out-of-hours responsibilities, including weekends, late shifts, and on-call duties.
  • Achieving Band 6 Objectives for each rotation.
  • Participating in and supporting dedicated Band 6 training sessions.
  • Completing the accredited North Central London Diploma, which is sponsored by the organization.

Qualifications and Training

Essential Criteria

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council or registration by the start date.
  • MRPharm or equivalent qualification.

Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the workplace.

Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant experience in hospital pharmacy.
  • Experience in training and developing junior staff.
  • Ability to interact effectively with the public, senior clinicians, and other healthcare staff.
  • Recent experience in clinical pharmacy or ward pharmacy.
  • Project management experience.

  • Capability to work methodically under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all disciplines, colleagues, and patients.
  • Ability to engage courteously and empathetically with patients and the general public.
  • Competence to work both as part of a team and independently as required.
