About the Role

As a Technical Sales Specialist at EXFO Inc., you will play a critical role in driving the sales process on the technical side, working closely with Account and Channels Sales Managers in the DACH region. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical leadership, market intelligence, and competitive analysis to enhance the Sales Organization's ability to compete in existing and emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical pre-qualification for new opportunities pertaining to EXFO's products and solutions, ensuring that sales teams are equipped with the necessary expertise to close deals.
  2. Product Champion: Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge regarding all aspects of EXFO's Optical Test and Measurement solutions, serving as a trusted advisor for sales teams and customers.
  3. Customer Engagement: Work closely with Channel Sales Managers and Regional partners in the DACH region to assist technically and conduct customer visits, providing expert advice on the uniqueness and advantages of EXFO's solutions.
  4. Market Intelligence: Identify opportunities for assigned markets, enhancing regional business and providing valuable insights to the Sales Organization.
Requirements
  1. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Fiber-Optic Test & Measurement technology and solutions, including OTDR theory and field applications, dispersion, and OSA.
  2. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Transport & Datacom technology, including OSI model, Ethernet, Layer 2 switching, IP routing, and TCP.
  3. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and customers at different levels.
  4. Education: Bachelor's degree in Physics, Telecoms, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical major preferred.
  5. Language: Fluency in German and English, with any other European language being beneficial but not mandatory.
