About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to join our team at Bullion By Post. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our ecommerce business, ensuring seamless customer experiences, and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the end-to-end fulfilment process, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
  • Coordinate the efficient operation of goods in and out, maintaining a streamlined inventory system.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to optimize cross-functional workflows.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems, ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • Optimize operational costs and courier fees, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to maintain consistency and quality.
Team Management and Development
  • Lead and motivate the operations team, ensuring staff satisfaction, development, and retention.
Customer Focus
  • Ensure the customer remains at the centre of our focus, receiving a high-quality, seamless customer journey.
Facilities and Risk Management
  • Ensure the office environment is functioning effectively, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security policies.
  • Manage operational risks, monitoring market conditions and implementing strategies to mitigate disruptions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a leadership role in ecommerce or logistics operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple aspects of operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, ensuring operational efficiency and a happy workforce.
  • Knowledge of bullion or precious metals is advantageous but not required.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
