We are seeking an experienced and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Old Age Liaison Service in Hull Royal Infirmary. As a key member of our team, you will provide leadership and senior medical input to our service, working closely with multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as Responsible Clinician for patients over 65 detained in the Acute Hospital under the Mental Health Act.
- Offer specialist advice, consultation, and training to Primary Care, Secondary Mental Health Care, and Acute Teaching Hospitals.
- Liaise with colleagues to provide patient-centered care, effective joint working, and risk management.
- Participate in peer appraisal, CPD, appraisal, and job planning.
- Provide supervision and training to junior medical staff.
- Participate actively in undergraduate teaching.
- Contribute to postgraduate teaching and supervision of junior doctors.
- Participate in continuing professional development according to Royal College of Psychiatrists guidelines.
