Senior Psychiatrist for Older Adults

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Integrated Care Team for Older People (HICTOP) at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective care and treatment to our patients, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
You will have a strong clinical background in Old Age Psychiatry and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be expected to be approved as a Responsible Clinician or be willing to undertake training to obtain Section 12(2) MHA and will be expected to renew this approval according to agreed procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical leadership in a well-established multi-disciplinary team
- Develop and implement care plans for patients with complex mental health needs
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist who:
- Has a strong clinical background in Old Age Psychiatry
- Is fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Is included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
