About the Role

The UK Project Manager/Director will play a key role in the planning, development, and execution of LanzaTech's strategic objectives in the UK and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution meets LanzaTech's standards.
  • Manage project communications, including stakeholder engagement and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Travel to client and vendor facilities as required for meetings, reviews, and client support.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of project execution and project management experience, preferably in the energy, biotechnology, chemicals, and/or fuels sectors.
  • Proven experience managing multimillion-dollar design and construction projects.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to apply project management fundamentals and industry best practices to solve problems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with oil & gas, fermentation, process development, and/or process operations in a bioprocessing facility.
  • Experience licensing technology and executing projects with technology licensors and/or EPC companies.
  • Prior plant engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up experience.
Work Environment
  • Able to work remotely and in a general office environment.
  • Up to 30% of travel is required, majority within the UK. Some travel may be required for extended periods to support projects during peak periods.
