Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join our dynamic team at Inclusion Recovery Hampshire, a leading community drug and alcohol service provider. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality clinical interventions, including opiate substitute prescribing, alcohol detoxification, and relapse prevention medication, health and wellbeing interventions, and blood-borne virus screenings and vaccinations.

About the Role

As an NMP at Inclusion Recovery Hampshire, you will be an essential part of our holistic care approach, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You will contribute expertise in medication prescribing and high-quality care, prioritizing the growth and development of our service users. We offer ongoing training, workshops, and tailored professional development programs to support your continuous learning in substance use treatment, prescribing practices, and holistic care approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, recovery workers, managers, and allied health colleagues to ensure a multidisciplinary approach and facilitate safe and positive outcomes for service users.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users to determine appropriate treatment plans, including opiate substitute prescribing and alcohol detoxification.
  • Prescribe and review medication, including opiate substitutes and alcohol detox medications, following best practices guidelines.
  • Offer health and wellbeing interventions, providing guidance and support tailored to individual needs.
  • Facilitate BBV screening and vaccinations, contributing to the overall health improvement of service users.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and treatment plans.
Person Specification

We are looking for a Non-Medical Prescriber with:

  • Essential: Non-Medical Prescriber (nursing/other allied health professional) qualification.
  • Desirable: Experience of working within the drug and alcohol field or addiction treatment.
