Position Overview

Mansell Recruitment Group is representing a prominent manufacturer specializing in medical products. We are currently in search of a skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in both online and offline programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • CNC Programming: Utilize Alphacam software to create and refine CNC Lathe programs based on technical drawings, CAD models, and other specifications.
  • Program Validation: Conduct proving out of programs and perform initial inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Data Management: Oversee the CNC program database using Cimco, making decisions on the approval or rejection of CNC programs generated by the machines, while maintaining precise records of setup sheets and tooling data.
  • Machine Setup: Prepare CNC Lathe machines by loading materials, fixtures, and tools, and calibrating settings to achieve optimal results. Monitor consumable levels and notify management when supplies are low.
  • Operational Excellence: Safely operate CNC Lathe machines to produce small batch and prototype components, ensuring adherence to production timelines and quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Utilize inspection tools to perform initial and in-process inspections, confirming that parts conform to engineering specifications and tolerances, making adjustments as necessary.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in programming, setting up, and operating Fanuc-based CNC Lathe machines.
  • Proficiency in CAD CAM software for programming.
  • Experience in final or in-line inspection processes.
  • Adeptness in using a variety of measuring and inspection tools.
Compensation

This position offers a competitive salary of up to £42,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes performance bonuses.
