Job Responsibilities:
Your role will involve enhancing visitor experiences by promoting awareness of animal welfare, conservation strategies, and educational initiatives.
You will be dedicated to delivering exceptional standards in exhibits and dive operations throughout Blue Planet Aquarium (BPA), ensuring animal welfare is prioritized as you care for the animals and maintain their habitats to the highest standards. You will also participate in Aqua Theatre shows to elevate visitor expectations.
Additional Opportunities:
Our team comprises highly knowledgeable professionals with the expertise to ensure excellence in our operations.
All dive experiences, such as Discover Scuba and Bubble Makers, are compensated at a fixed rate in addition to your hourly wage. Following successful completion of your probationary period, there is potential for advancement within your PADI certification through the "All Aboard Scheme."
Key Duties:
- Conducting or assisting with all diving activities, including customer dive experiences, dive shows, maintenance dives, media dives, and training dives.
- Ensuring accurate completion of all dive-related documentation.
- Collaborating with the Dive Officer on equipment maintenance, training, and daily dive show operations.
- Cleaning and maintaining scuba equipment, performing regular inspections.
- Successfully completing dive courses as agreed with the Dive Officer.
- Conducting dive compliance visits across UK sites and ensuring that appropriate risk assessments and dive project plans are prepared and updated.

Qualifications:
- PADI Dive Master or BSAC equivalent
- Valid HSE medical or willingness to obtain one upon job offer
- First Aid certification
- Knowledge of diving equipment to ensure proper maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Significant diving experience, both practical and theoretical, demonstrated through your personal dive logbook.
Desirable:
- Dive Instructor certification
