Business Unit Reporting Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Unit Reporting Controller to join our team at NatWest Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial control and reporting outputs, including ledger close, balance sheet substantiation, statutory and management reporting, and external audits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and substantiate product level data outputs from product control teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.
- Deliver high-quality financial, statutory, regulatory, and management reporting outputs within service level agreements.
- Troubleshoot queries and submit KPIs on a timely basis.
- Support change initiatives, process improvements, and systems implementations related to our processes and applications.
- Provide end-to-end control and ownership of franchise and legal entity balance sheets, fixed assets accounting, and project accounting and reporting.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant or working towards a qualification with a background in global finance teams.
- Experience in managing delivery of core financial control and reporting outputs, including ledger close, balance sheet substantiation, statutory and management reporting, and external audits.
- Knowledge of data management techniques and applications, such as Python, AWS, and Tableau.
- Understanding of change best practices and experience in delivering change in the financial services industry or medium to large corporates.
- Ability to build and enhance key relationships at a senior level, influencing and challenging as required.
