Role Summary:

Loom Talent has been exclusively selected by a leading FMCG enterprise to establish a pivotal Distribution Center in their expanding network, located in Haverhill.

Our client operates within the FMCG sector, representing multiple well-known brands across Retail and Wholesale industries, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of service, safety, and operational efficiency.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • **Leadership Focus:** Inspire and guide a committed team to achieve their maximum potential. Your emphasis on staff well-being and development will be fundamental to success, alongside a mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
  • **Safety Standards:** Maintain stringent health and safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness throughout the warehouse and distribution operations.
  • **Performance Evaluation:** Advance the organizational approach to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring both existing and new site standardization.
  • **Management of Performance:** Demonstrated experience in managing performance levels, including leading probation reviews, return-to-work assessments, personal development plans, annual evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • **Systems Proficiency:** Leverage your expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Business Systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • **Collaboration with Stakeholders:** Work alongside cross-functional teams to facilitate the smooth transition of goods from the warehouse to the end customer.

Candidate Profile:

  • **Logistics Background:** Proven experience in Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain is essential.
  • **Experience Level:** Minimum of 3+ years in a Warehouse Shift Manager, Warehouse Manager, or Operations Manager role is required.
  • **Team Management:** Experience managing teams of over 50 employees through direct reports is essential.
  • **Leadership Skills:** Exceptional people management and leadership capabilities are required.
  • **Continuous Improvement Knowledge:** Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement methodologies is advantageous.
  • **WMS/ERP Knowledge:** A working understanding of WMS and ERP systems is beneficial.
  • **Analytical Skills:** Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.
  • **Commutability:** Must be able to commute to Haverhill five days a week.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • **Salary Range:** £41,500 to £43,500 (Dependent on experience).
