Exciting Opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collaborating with clients to understand and address their needs, developing and producing reports, specifications, and guidance, and overseeing testing and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and produce reports, specifications, and guidance for clients
  • Oversee testing and commissioning activities
  • Collaborate with clients to understand and address their needs
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, project managers, managing agents, and contractors
  • Lead small to medium-sized projects autonomously and take a brief on larger projects to deliver and control required tasks
Requirements:
  • Strong technical expertise in Mechanical Design Engineering with a comprehensive understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design throughout all project stages
  • Solid experience with standards and codes relevant to building services
  • Capable of conducting MEP building services surveys independently, with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in detailed peer reviews, with a solid knowledge of regulatory and standards documentation
  • Experience managing and delivering projects of various sizes and complexities, across different RIBA stages
  • Able to perform essential calculations, including maximum demands and typical W/m2, applying mechanical theory effectively
  • Some experience working on projects within existing buildings
  • Skilled in site inspections and witnessing commissioning activities
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, project managers, managing agents, and contractors
  • Previous consultancy experience, with an appreciation for complementary disciplines such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modelling in building design
  • Chartered engineer or working towards chartered status
