Excelitas Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team in St Asaph. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for financial reporting, including statutory accounts, and will have the opportunity to work closely with our accounting team to drive business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the completion of monthly financial statement close and ensure accuracy of information through monthly analysis and reconciliation.
- Prepare and record standard and non-routine journal entries, and determine adjustments required and prepare journal entries for related account activity.
- Record intercompany transactions and confirm with other assets.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with preparation of monthly US reporting requirements.
- Process cash entries not related to accounts payable disbursement and prepare and maintain fixed assets, expense accruals, and prepaid schedules.
- Assist the Accounting Manager in the completion of annual statutory financial statements and tax audits.
- Perform other duties as required to support the Accounting Manager and other Business Department.
- Knowledge and understanding of internal controls.
- 3 years' experience in general ledger accounting.
- Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work closely with and as part of the accounting team.
- Capable of critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
