About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Dummer Down Café & Grocery, part of the Honesty Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for producing and cooking food for sale in our farm shop, as well as developing menus and ensuring the implementation of our HACCP policy and food hygiene and safety procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Produce food to order and manage the specials board to minimize waste
  • Organize the kitchen and its resources to ensure maximum productivity
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and well-organized to maintain a 5-star food hygiene rating
  • Manage stock control and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure freshness
  • Quality control of products leaving the kitchen to ensure consistency and quality
  • Embrace H&S regulations and food safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Adhere to Honesty values and ethos to maintain our high standards
  • Work with the coffee shop team to ensure great customer satisfaction

  • Understanding of quality control and teamwork
  • Computer literacy and ability to work with initiative
  • Love of fresh food and commitment to using seasonal and local ingredients
