About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Dummer Down Café & Grocery, a thriving café and retail space located on the outskirts of Basingstoke.

Main Responsibilities
  • Produce and cook high-quality food for sale in the farm shop and café
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase local, seasonal ingredients
  • Manage kitchen resources and staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment to achieve a 5-star food hygiene rating
  • Work closely with the marketing team to promote the café and its food offerings
  • Collaborate with the coffee shop team to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
Key Competencies
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
