About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Dummer Down Café & Grocery. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for producing and cooking food to the highest standards, while ensuring the implementation of our HACCP policy and food hygiene and safety procedures.

Main Responsibilities
  • Produce food to order, using fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients whenever possible.
  • Manage the specials board to minimize waste and ensure variety.
  • Organize the kitchen and its resources to maximize productivity.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean and well-organized to maintain a 5-star food hygiene rating.
  • Engage with the marketing team to promote the café and its food.
  • Maintain and build relationships with key suppliers.
  • Manage stock control and stock rotation (FIFO).
  • Quality control of products leaving the kitchen.
  • Adhere to Honesty values and ethos.
  • Work with the coffee shop to ensure great customer satisfaction.
