Position: Student Support Counsellor

Contract Type: Part-time (22.5 hours, 3 days per week)

Location: Durham International Study Centre

Salary: Up to £43,000

Role Overview:
  • Deliver specialized assistance to students at the International Study Centre.
  • Oversee a caseload of student clients, providing therapeutic consultations.
  • Design and facilitate therapeutic groups and workshops tailored for student needs.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation and organizational policies.
  • Monitor and provide support for students with additional requirements.
Candidate Profile:
  • Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in counselling or psychological therapy.
  • Hold accreditation or registration with a recognized professional organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering time-limited interventions and engaging with adolescents.
  • Experience in managing mental health risks and crises effectively.
  • Understanding of safeguarding protocols and requirements.
