Job Title: Consultant Haematologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our team at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our haematology department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

About the Role

As a Consultant Haematologist, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with haematological disorders. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care to patients with haematological disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct research to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the development of new treatments
  • Teach and train junior doctors and medical students
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Relevant experience at Consultant level or references to support your transition to Consultant level
  • Evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK
  • Ability to pass an enhanced background check (DBS)
