Job Title: HGV Field Service Engineer

Join Dawsongroup plc, the UK's leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire, as a Field Service Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and responding to issues in our fleet of vehicles in your area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fault diagnosis, repair, and routine maintenance of specialist vehicles and other company equipment.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines.
  • Keeping up to date with administrative responsibilities, ensuring that all routine maintenance or repair work is subject of an accurate and timely written report.
  • Evaluating, modifying, and preparing machines for hire at Dawsongroup EMC depots and customers' locations.
  • First Line Repair, Fault Reporting for second line repairs and providing technical advice to third party engineers where required.
Requirements:
  • A City and Guilds/ONC level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuits, gearboxes, or sweeper vehicles.
  • Great level of communication skills and customer service with the ability to demonstrate the values and ethics of Dawsongroup plc.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to your role and ability to work well on your own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Full, Clean UK driving licence.
