HGV Technician - Heavy Goods Vehicle Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team in Windsor. As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining a range of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs). This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of HGV mechanics and electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing a variety of HGV problems using specialised tools and equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks on HGVs
  • Ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards
  • Communicating effectively with customers to explain repairs and answer questions
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest HGV and EV technologies
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience as an HGV Technician (or relevant experience)
  • A strong understanding of HGV mechanics and electrical systems
  • A valid HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (HGV Class 1 preferred)
  • Experience working on a variety of HGV makes and models (preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • A willingness to learn and be trained in EV technology
