About the Role
Your Talent Solutions is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join a reputable firm known for its exceptional financial services. This role offers a chance to be part of a progressive team that values both its employees and clients.
Key Responsibilities
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for various bookkeeping tasks within the Accounts Department. The ideal candidate should possess experience in bookkeeping and familiarity with accountancy practices. Key duties include:
- Preparing and generating monthly management accounts
- Completing and submitting VAT and CIS returns
- Conducting induction and training sessions for new clients
- Communicating effectively with clients
- Maintaining accurate practice records and management information
- Performing additional tasks as required by the business
Required Skills & Experience
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and regulations
- Experience in processing and generating monthly accounts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based accounting software, including Quickbooks, Dext, Xero, and Sage
- Experience in bank reconciliations
- Knowledge of fixed asset administration
- Experience in completing all necessary journals
- Ability to process VAT and CIS returns
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients and team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective collaboration, planning, and prioritization abilities
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, experience in an accountancy practice is highly desirable.
