Job Description

Datasym is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part Time Finance & Office Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support to our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the sales and purchase ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and up-to-date.
  • Process and log all orders, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Provide general office administration support, including answering phone calls, handling post and deliveries, and maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Generate, renew, and supply licenses, with training provided.
  • Assist with invoicing, payroll, and banking tasks, as well as liaising with our Finance Director and Accountants.
  • Resolve any financial issues with clients or suppliers, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
  • Manage petty cash and staff credit cards, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare reports as requested, utilizing your analytical skills to provide valuable insights.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in finance and credit control, with a strong understanding of financial procedures and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Sage Line 50, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a methodical and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Basic understanding of IT, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional telephone manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
