Position Overview
The GDST is seeking a dynamic, skilled, and imaginative full-time Art Educator to enhance our vibrant department. In this role, you will deliver Art instruction at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level, exploring a variety of media and techniques including painting, drawing, printmaking, film, and sculpture. Your mission will be to foster exceptional achievement in the subject through high-quality teaching and learning, while providing guidance to students and parents on progress and improvement strategies that will help our students unlock their artistic potential.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional Art specialist, holding a good honours degree and possessing extensive professional and subject knowledge. Previous experience teaching across Key Stages 3-5, as well as at GCSE and A Level, is essential. Qualified teacher status, a PGCE, or an equivalent qualification is also required.

Our Art department is lively and thriving, committed to a shared vision of excellence in the visual arts. We strive to engage students in an imaginative manner, teaching them about Art, Craft, and Design through both historical and contemporary perspectives. The department is equipped with specialized facilities, including a pottery kiln, printing press, an iMac suite, DSLR cameras, whiteboards, and overhead projectors.
