Job Summary:

Morson Talent is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team in Plymouth. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC multi-axis turning centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming and operating CNC multi-axis turning centers
  • Experience with one or more of the following CNC controls: Siemens and/or Mazak
  • Ability to work to fine tolerances (imperial and metric measurements) and use appropriate measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers)
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Experience working in an engineering environment

Requirements:

  • Excellent attitude towards Health & Safety and good working practice
  • Flexibility to variable work patterns, with a forward-thinking commercial attitude
  • Understanding and demonstration of the necessity for excellent customer care

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 2 applications will be considered with relevant experience in the field

Working Hours:

  • 35 hours per week
  • Variable working patterns with pay enhancement for shift working

Shift Patterns:

  • Day Shift: 07:30 - 15:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 12:30 on Friday
  • Back Shift: 15:00 - 23:00 Monday to Thursday, 12:00 - 17:00 on Friday
