CNC Machinist Job Description

Morson Talent is seeking a skilled CNC machinist to join their Plymouth-based client's team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program and operate CNC multi-axis turning centers
  • Experience with CNC controls such as Siemens and Mazak
  • Ability to work to fine tolerances and use measuring equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience working in an engineering environment
Requirements:
  • Excellent attitude towards Health & Safety and good working practice
  • Flexibility to variable work patterns and a forward-thinking commercial attitude
  • Excellent customer care skills
Qualifications:
  • Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 2 applications considered with relevant experience

This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension. The role involves 35 hours per week with variable working patterns and a shift uplift for certain hours.

Working Hours:

  • Day Shift: 07:30 - 15:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30 - 12:30 Friday
  • Back Shift: 15:00 - 23:00 Monday to Thursday, 12:00 - 17:00 Friday
