Retail Department Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Department Manager to join our team at Hillier Nurseries Ltd. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading our retail department and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of retail staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and improve customer engagement
- Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring accurate inventory management and minimizing waste
- Collaborate with the buying team to select and purchase products that meet customer demand and drive sales growth
- Manage and maintain a clean and organized retail environment, ensuring a positive customer experience
- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in the horticultural industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive customer experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours
- Basic knowledge of horticulture and plant care, with a willingness to learn and develop skills
