We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Department Manager to join our team at Hillier Nurseries Ltd.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead our retail department and drive sales growth while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of retail staff to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
- Manage the visual merchandising and display of plants and products
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and increase customer engagement
- Monitor and control stock levels, inventory, and ordering processes
- Collaborate with the buying team to select and purchase products that meet customer needs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in the horticulture industry
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of horticulture and plant care
