Customer Service Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Coordinator. This role will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing customer orders accurately, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome visitors, customers, and stakeholders in a professional manner.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person or location, and communicate company policies and procedures as needed.
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls, and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Receive and sort post and deliveries, and provide cover and assistance with packing and shipment of sample orders.
  • Process customer orders accurately using the NAV computer system, and check emails to ensure orders are processed quickly and efficiently.
  • Update customer details on the NAV computer system, and assist with finance queries regarding customer orders.
  • Effectively communicate and liaise with internal and external customers regarding queries on any orders.
  • Maintain files, update records, and provide quick and accurate information when required.
  • Assist with sales and marketing administration as needed, and ensure good relations and communications with all members of the team.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above in English and Maths.
  • A customer service related qualification.
  • Experience of answering, screening, and transferring calls.
  • 2 years' experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in high-speed accurate data entry.
  • Experience in providing advice and assistance to work colleagues and customers.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Proven strong planning, organizing, and time management abilities.
Skills and Competences:
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Well-organized and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Circumstances:
  • Able to work flexible hours as required and to travel as required to ensure business needs are met.
  • Possess a full, current driving license.
