NLB Solutions is seeking a qualified Financial Operations Manager to oversee a dedicated team and manage all facets of month-end and year-end financial processes.

This is an opportune moment to enhance our finance department with an additional resource to accommodate the growing responsibilities.

The position reports directly to the Financial Controller and entails managing a team of at least five professionals.

With robust teams in place to handle transactional operations, we ensure a structured working environment adhering to a standard 9am - 5pm schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of statutory financial statements for all group entities and consolidation in line with financial reporting standards and best practices.
  • Management of corporation tax reporting and strategic tax planning for year-end.
  • Overseeing the daily operations of the credit control function.
  • Preparation and review of group reporting and monthly management accounts.
  • Leading the month-end closing process, including journal preparation, posting, and review, along with balance sheet reconciliations and analysis of monthly variances.
  • Ensuring accurate reporting of accounts payable, accounts receivable, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, and other financial obligations.
  • Generating weekly and periodic management reports, including detailed budget versus actual variance analysis, balance sheet, and profit and loss statements.
  • Assisting the Group Finance Director in the annual budgeting process and forecast preparation.
  • Taking charge of technical accounting matters, including acquisition accounting.
  • Conducting ad-hoc analyses and projects to support business needs.
  • Reviewing and implementing enhancements to accounting and Management Information (MI) systems to provide deeper insights into profitability.
  • Developing financial management systems and policies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Driving financial control and reporting to uncover opportunities for profitability enhancement and margin improvement across the group.
  • Exhibiting exceptional financial analysis capabilities.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including board members, to provide guidance on budgeting and monitoring, ensuring a high-quality business partnering service.
  • Producing accurate and transparent information, data, and KPIs, ensuring that outputs from finance teams are suitable for corporate reporting.

Applicants should possess a recognized accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
