Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire doors to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.

This is a mobile position covering Sussex, and the successful candidate will be required to have their own vehicle while on probationary period. A fuel card and £500 per month will be provided for the use of their own vehicle on top of their salary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair fire doors in accordance with fire safety regulations.
  • Conduct inspections of fire doors to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Measure and cut materials to the required specifications.
  • Assemble and secure door frames, hardware, and other components.
  • Ensure proper alignment and operation of fire doors.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with fire doors and related components.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience in fire door installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong carpentry skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of fire door regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
