About the Role:

The successful candidate will be integral to the delivery of technical projects, producing high-quality deliverables and working both independently and as part of a team. They will play a fundamental role in the development of other team members, utilizing problem-solving skills to address challenging radioactive waste management issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective radioactive waste management strategies, ensuring alignment with national policies and legislation.
  • Lead on projects, prioritizing tasks based on business needs and maintaining a strong customer focus.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate project progress and results.
  • Conduct environmental permitting and assessment requirements, ensuring compliance with BPM.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a physical science or equivalent training/experience.
  • Significant proven experience in radioactive waste management, with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
  • Proven experience in two or more of the following: decommissioning, characterisation, disposability assessments, application of environmental legislation, production of BAT/BPM assessments, DQO application, and waste assay techniques.
