Position Overview

As an Assistant Care Home Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the well-being of our residents. We are looking for a committed individual to assist in managing the operations of a care home. The ideal candidate will possess experience in dementia care and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to effectively supervise staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading with Enthusiasm: Offer guidance and support to staff, cultivating a positive and encouraging work environment.
  • Advocating for Resident Care: Supervise the provision of high-quality, person-centered care, including medication management and adherence to individualized care plans. Ensure that residents' physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Operational Excellence: Collaborate with the Care Home Manager to uphold regulatory standards and oversee the daily operations of the care facility. Conduct assessments and create tailored care plans for residents.
  • Effective Communication and Teamwork: Engage with residents, families, and stakeholders, addressing any concerns in a timely and professional manner. Mentor and train care staff on best practices.
  • Commitment to Quality Improvement: Maintain accurate documentation and promote continuous enhancement by regularly reviewing care practices and implementing necessary changes.
  • Prioritizing Safety: Ensure the safety and security of both residents and staff members.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or higher, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare, dementia care, or senior care roles.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Capability to work effectively within a team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Must be a UK resident or possess settled status.
