Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic midwife to join our diabetes team at The Diabetes Times. As a Diabetes Specialist Midwife, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of diabetes services and ensuring that women with diabetes receive high-quality care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in midwifery and a passion for working with women with diabetes. You will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based care programs, providing expert clinical and professional advice, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to deliver training and support.

Main Duties:

  • Provide effective leadership to the diabetes/pregnancy team
  • Act as the lead midwife on diabetes in maternity services
  • Work collaboratively with other diabetes team members to educate and develop staff in acute and primary care settings
  • Support midwives and GPs to provide ongoing antenatal care and plan care for clients
  • Audit, monitor, and evaluate services provided
