About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team at Hampden Hall Care Centre. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for identifying residents' activity needs and wishes, and producing a varied programme based on these findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement activity programmes that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
  • Collaborate with internal and external sources to source materials and resources for activities
  • Organize theme and fundraising events, as well as outings, ensuring safety and staffing requirements are met
  • Manage monthly activity budgets and ensure risk assessments are carried out on all activities and outings
  • Produce newsletters and update our social media pages with engaging content

Requirements:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Ability to work in a team, with a caring nature and positive attitude
  • Understanding of Health and Safety, and emotional, social, physical, psychological, and intellectual needs of vulnerable people
  • Ability to engage others in recreational activities
  • Previous experience in a similar position in a care home is desirable but not essential
