Senior Financial Controller

We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with a well-established private equity-backed software as a service (SAAS) organization in search of a new Senior Financial Controller for a role that is primarily office-based.
In this dynamic and multifaceted position, you will oversee the monthly and quarterly financial closing processes. This is a newly established role where you will collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to facilitate future expansion, as the intention of the private equity firm is to pursue additional acquisitions within this entity.
This position will commence with the establishment of fundamental accounting practices to support anticipated business growth, thus candidates must exhibit a proactive, "hands-on" approach. The role necessitates four days a week in the office with one day allocated for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate financial transactions using Sage Line 50 Cloud.
- Manage a multi-entity structure requiring the generation of both standalone and consolidated management accounts, with entities located in various countries.
- Support the CFO in business planning, budgeting, and financial modeling.
- Conduct cash flow forecasting and management.
- Monitor and capture costs effectively.
- Link bank accounts to enhance the payment process and reconciliation.
- Integrate payroll systems.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and oversee asset tracking.
- Manage the audit process efficiently.
- Assist with the integration of future mergers and acquisitions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Recent experience in producing management accounts, preparing budgets, and conducting financial analysis for small to medium-sized enterprises.
- Open to various sectors, though experience in SAAS, technology, or private equity-backed firms is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record in establishing processes and procedures.
