About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Electronic Design Engineer to join our team at Seismic Recruitment. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of innovative electronic products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of electronic products, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless product development.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our products.
Requirements
  • Significant knowledge and experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading design work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Commercial experience, including negotiation techniques, supply chain management, and customer relationship development.
  • Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to take technical lead and mentor engineers.
Technical Skills
  • Embedded and power electronic design.
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout and simulation using Altium Designer.
  • Microprocessor, analogue, and digital design.
  • Ability to diagnose and mitigate EMC/EMI problems.
  • DFM, DFT, power supply design, PWM experience, high voltage design.
  • Analyse and solve complex scenarios in mechatronics.
