Reception and Accommodation Manager

YHA Hartington Hall is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reception and Accommodation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our reception and accommodation services, providing exceptional customer service, and managing a team of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the team to deliver excellent customer service to all guests and visitors, ensuring a positive experience of YHA.
- Monitor and control expenditure within the reception function, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Manage arrival and departure lists, including large groups, and ensure accurate rota planning to meet staffing needs.
- Deputise for the Hostel/Deputy Manager, managing the hostel's daily operation in their absence.
Requirements:
- Proven experience of working in a face-to-face role with customers, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work flexibly and cover different shifts.
- Knowledge and understanding of YHA's core purpose and values, with the ability to promote these to guests and staff.
- Qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Customer Services, Hospitality, or Tourism would be advantageous.
