Royal & Derngate seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Deputy Head of Lighting and Sound. This position is responsible for providing technical theatre services, maintaining venue spaces, and supporting the Head of Lighting and Sound in the delivery of our received, produced, and creative learning programme.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head of Lighting and Sound in the general duties of the department, including the operation of lighting, sound, and AV equipment and systems.
- Ensure safe working practices are observed in line with the department's RAMS policy and procedures.
- Assist with show fit-ups and get-outs, and the running of rehearsals and performances.
- Organise and supervise the Lighting and Sound department, and deputise for the Head of Lighting and Sound as required.
- Collaborate with the Technical, Production, and Creative Learning departments to support the delivery of our programme.
- Manage and maintain the theatre's stores, ensuring they are well-organised and easily accessible.
- Provide excellent customer service to our audiences and stakeholders.
