About the Role

Slalom is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance and Privacy Consultant to join our Data & Technology Team. As a Data Governance and Privacy professional, you will support and advise clients to balance flexible use, effective management, and a pragmatic approach to handling data to support insight and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks to establish policies, procedures, standards, and controls for effective data management.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats to data security and privacy, and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expert advice on data privacy laws and regulations, such as The Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different levels of the organisation to assess client needs and communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Requirements
  • Regulatory Compliance Expertise: In-depth understanding of data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Data Governance Frameworks: Experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks.
  • Consulting and Communication Skills: Strong consulting skills to assess client needs and communicate complex technical concepts.
