Detailed Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at Dorset HealthCare. As a Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of children and young people in our community.

Main Responsibilities

As a Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing specialist advice and support to children and young people, their families, and carers.
  • Developing and delivering programmes of care for individuals and groups of patients/clients.
  • Providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Devising and delivering training to staff and stakeholders.
  • Using electronic patient/service user record systems to record and manage patient information.
  • Analysing data and producing reports using Microsoft Excel and Word.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level supplemented by post-registration diploma level specialist training and/or short courses or demonstrable extensive experience in the relevant specialty.
  • Membership of the relevant Professional Body.
  • Experience at Practitioner Band 5 level.
  • Experience of specialist working.
  • Experience of developing specialist programmes of care for an individual or groups of patients/clients and of providing highly specialist advice.
  • Experience of providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Experience of devising and delivering training.
  • Experience of using electronic patient/service user record systems.
  • Able to analyse data and produce reports using Microsoft Excel and Word.
