About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to join our successful Merchandise department at Footasylum. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our commercial opportunities across stores, websites, and ultimately drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly summaries of key performance indicators for departments of responsibility and the wider business, relating to sales, stock, profit, and budget.
  • Develop and implement weekly trading actions to optimize department sales and margin.
  • Act as the primary contact for all analysis relating to departments of responsibility.
  • Maintain accurate weekly stock sales and intake forecasts, driving sales and minimizing risks, and communicate with the Distribution Centre for short-term workflow planning and long-term budgeting.
  • Collaborate with the team to control branch inventory levels, allocations, and replenishment as required.
  • Serve as the key contact for Stores on inventory availability queries.
  • Provide analysis and summary of markdown and promotional activity for departments of responsibility and the wider business.
  • Ensure that markdowns are accurately recorded on the system in line with the markdown calendar.
  • Interact with other internal teams to improve performance and drive forward best practices.
  • Act as a key contact for Merchandise reporting and all aspects of merchandising processes and system use.

You will be responsible for working across branded suppliers and own-brand supply chain, making decisions that influence sell-through, following strategic plans, and affecting profitability.
